How to Set Up the Google Gemini API Key

This article will guide you on how to get your Google Gemini API key and connect it to AI Content Labs.

Step 1: Access Your Google AI Studio Account

1. Go to Google AI Studio.
2. If you already have an account, log in. If not, create one.

Step 2: Get Your Google Gemini API Key

1. In Google AI Studio, click “Get API Key” from the left-hand menu.
2. Click the “Create API Key” button.
3. Select “Generative Language Client” from the dropdown menu or, if you have paid projects, choose the appropriate one and click “Create API Key in an existing project”.
4. Copy the displayed API key. Important: This is the only time you’ll see this key, so make sure to save it in a secure place.

Step 3: Enter the API Key in AI Content Labs

1. Log in to your AI Content Labs account.
2. In the bottom-left menu, click on your user profile and select “Set Up API Keys”.
3. Locate the Google Gemini card. You can see Gemini-compatible models with AI Content Labs here.
4. Paste the API key you copied into the “Add API Key” field and click “Save”.
